Emotions are turnt up this week. It’s been beyond hard. Turbulent. With bad news from all angles of the world, my nerves have been on EDGE. Tears have come more than once. Hard to focus on work or small talk with co-workers when all that replays mentally is torturous suffering; how the world has allowed it to go on for so long. Animals burned alive. Some assumed extinct. Vast landscapes singed black. Planes being bombed down killing innocents. Threats of WW3. My dreams have been horrific reflecting these horrors. Day and night sadness follows me. But as an #empath I’ve learned I mustn’t be devoured by the atrocities of the world. Just because I feel SO deeply doesn’t mean I have to dwell in sadness longer than I should. That’s not where my most effective power lies. Gotta breathe — release. Breathe — reset. Instead of angry; a world away and helpless, I choose to transmute this pent up fury at the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse tomorrow night putting my precious energy to BETTER use, choosing to rise above the pain + affect positive change instead. Taking initiative to do what I can from where I am. And that means meditate. I’ll be working with Cancerian energy, cosmic currents of healing, soothing — and of course the water element to trigger rain, drench the fires and out flames and suffering for good (interesting in these heated times we receive a water moon to cool things down...let’s use it to our advantage). . Thoughts create form on some level — a powerful tool when used correctly. Change is instigated faster with more mental/emotional momentum behind it — and there is strength in numbers. Meditate, pray, send your intentions with me tomorrow night (probably around 8pm EST -TBC) to amplify our potential. How I’m working with the moon in 2020! 🌙✨ I think I’ve found a new system that works for my current lifestyle which means, no #bujo this year — I don’t have time for made-from-scratch pages or lengthy posts. Cue 👉🏼 @moonologydotcom’s Moonology Diary 2020! Essentially a pre-populated calendar marking dates of the New/Full Moons each month + the astrological sign AND House each lunation falls in! Making it foolproof for non-astrologers + busy folks! ALSO! Something Yasmin points out that is a game changer: working with the *Rising Sign* to determine which House is activated by the New/Full Moon... not the Sun sign! 😱🤯 This method is much more accurate and specific (which I can attest to already!). I’m also using the daily entry section for my Tarot pulls - that way all moon/Tarot magick is in one place so connections between both can easily be made. My 2020 intentions along with any future card pulls/rituals will be journalled + placed in this book as well (as a condensed #bookofshadows) 🔮 . For further Sign/House info I’m using her book Moonology which includes a chart to be used in perpetuity (swipe to see what I’m talking about). . Another I’ve delighted in for a few years is @simone.moonpower’s Moon Power, which provides juicy details to help embody the Moon’s powerful energy through the qualities of each Sign she falls in and a related goddess. Lovely rituals get you thinking, immersed + connected to Mama Moon and characteristics of the Zodiac. To gain a deeper appreciation of yourself + the cosmos this is simply a must have. 💖 . . The Gemini Rising in me is curious about the tools/methods you are using to live more consciously, in tune with La Luna. Here’s my Jan 1st tradition // spent the morning journalling about 2019, setting intentions + pulling cards for 2020 including my numerological Major (The Hierophant), Animal Spirit (Crow) and Lenormand theme of the year cards (quick clearing of old to make way for everything new!). Journalling on lessons/gems of the previous year + preparing for the year ahead on new year’s day is a ritual I cannot miss! It helps me close out the past and shift into a fresh phase feeling organized + ready. . . Hope everyone had a great night celebrating!
